MotoGP™ - the premium class of motorcycle road racing, in which prototype bikes fight for the prestigious world championship. Niterra is an official sponsor for five of the 12 MotoGP™ teams in 2024, among them the most successful teams of the last years: Repsol Honda Team, CASTROL Honda, IDEMITSU Honda, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Ducati Lenovo Team. Overall, 12 of the best riders on the planet benefit from the technical support of the world’s number one spark plug brand, including big names like world champion Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia.
The WSBK Championship features production-based motorcycles with certain modifications. With all major OEMs benefitting from the technical support of the world’s leading spark plug brand, it comes as no surprise that Niterra’s premium quality products have carried a number of teams to countless championship victories as, for example, six-time world champion Jonathan Rea and his Pata Prometeon Yamaha WorldSBK. Besides giving support to Kawasaki, the ignition and sensor specialist is technical partner of Team HRC, ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati.
From snow-packed forest tracks to rock-strewn mountain passes, the WRC is without a doubt the most challenging 4-wheel motorsport championship in the world. The extreme conditions prevailing there literally force drivers, cars and material to deliver peak performances. The M-Sport Ford World Rally Team and its drivers Craig Breen, Adrian Fourmaux, Gus Greensmith, Sébastien Loeb and Pierre-Louis Loubet therefore rely on Niterra products to give them a boost and a head start in these rough conditions.
Mud, dust and jumps: The Motocross World Championship is the premier class of motocross racing. Divided into two classes - MXGP and MX2 - it is one of the physically most demanding series for athletes with a calendar of 20 events with two races each and a race duration of 30 minutes and 2 laps. Niterra delivers its superior quality products to the Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP, supporting its riders Romain Febvre and Jeremy Seewer while fighting for victories.
World-class speedway riders need no breaks for their extreme drifting. Niterra supports the series in 2024. For good reason: the 500cc bikes reach speeds of more than 70 mph with only one single fixed gear and no brakes, making reliable ignition technology essential.
Trial depends less on speed; it requires fine throttle, balance and machine control. Niterra supports the Repsol Honda Team with its riders Gabriel Marcelli and Toni Bou who dominates the TrialGP with an impressive 13 outdoor championships, combined with 13 indoor championships. The machines have evolved to become extremely lightweight, lack seating (they are designed to be ridden standing up) and have a short suspension.
